VirtualConnection processes personal data, which are understood as data that allow the identification or identification of a natural person.

On which services does VirtualConnection collect personal data?

What is the purpose of collecting and processing personal data?

The collection and processing of personal data is carried out for legitimate, explicit and specific purposes. Most personal information is provided directly by the holders for one of the following reasons:

  • To browse our websites and applications securely;

  • To better target the contents of our websites;

  • In order for us to perform our services.

  • To perform regular activities with customers of services offered by VirtualConnection.

VirtualConnection stores evidence of opt-in (express) consent when such consent is considered, by applicable privacy laws, essential for data processing. Likewise, in the event of a revocation of consent, evidence of such revocation is also stored.

How is personal data shared?

  • Sharing with third parties:

VirtualConnection may share personal data with its controlled companies and with suppliers, if necessary for the provision of services. For this sharing, rights and duties of the parties are established, in order to prevent the use of personal data in a way different from that established by the company and/or that violate applicable privacy laws. It is also required that all those involved treat personal data with security and secrecy, and keep them only for a specified period. These obligations remain even after the end of the relationship between the parties.

In some circumstances, VirtualConnection may be legally required to share personal data in order to respond to inquiries or investigations.

  • International data transfer:

VirtualConnection may share personal data with its controlled companies or with contracted companies based outside the national territory, subject to local legal requirements. The transfer of personal data will only be carried out to controlled companies, entities or international bodies located in countries that observe an adequate level of protection of personal data or that guarantee compliance with the principles, rights and data protection regime of the applicable privacy laws.

The company may adopt one of the following safeguards: (i) contractual clauses approved by the supervisory authorities, in accordance with applicable privacy legislation; or (ii) approval of appropriate regulatory documents, in the case of transfers involving controlled companies.

What are the rights of holders in relation to their personal data?

The holder of personal data has the following rights in relation to their data, insofar as such rights are recognized by applicable laws:

  • Processing confirmation: confirmation of the existence of processing of data held by VirtualConnection;

  • Access to data: access to data collected by the company, with the exception of trade and industry secret protection cases;

  • Data correction: request for correction of data that contain incomplete, outdated or erroneous information;

  • Anonymization and blocking: the anonymization and blocking of unnecessary, excessive or processed data in violation of the provisions of applicable legislation. Anonymization will take place considering the use of reasonable technical means available at the time of data processing;

  • Portability: portability of personal data upon express request. VirtualConnection and its controlled companies reserve the right to deny portability in case of personal data that could compromise their commercial and industrial secrets;

  • Information on data sharing: information on personal data that are shared with public and private entities;

  • Revocation of consent: revocation of consent given, at any time, upon express request of the holder. The revocation procedure will always be free of charge and facilitated; and

  • Deletion of personal data: personal data will be deleted at the end of their purpose or in the event of a desire to revoke your consent to carry out that treatment. Subject to local legal requirements, VirtualConnection may retain personal data if: (i) it is legally required to keep it, (ii) to comply with laws and/or regulations so mandated; (iii) need the data to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; and (iii) needs to maintain control of the data for public health reasons.
